Excel's versatility means that it can be used throughout the entire business, not just the finance department, e.g human resources, marketing, logistics, etc. There's not much Excel can't do. Ideally it shouldn't be used as a database solution for a large volume of data; however, for most other projects and data applications, Excel is the tool to use!
However, if you have a preference or business requirement for Google Sheets, then we cover that too!

We can also be flexible on payment terms to suit your needs. However, for most projects we take a deposit up front with the balance due on delivery of the files for your acceptance.

Simple, ad-hoc projects

£300 - £800

This sort of project can be scoped/ briefed easily by telephone or email and is usually something that would take an experienced Excel developer anything from a few hours to a couple of days to complete. Often some process design is required, although usually not extensive.

Things that might be typical for this kind of project include:

- Fast turnaround times
- Simple bespoke builds
- Customization of existing spreadsheets
- Automation of simple, repetitive tasks using VBA
- The opportunity to test and request alterations after the first draft

Regular business projects

£800 - £3,000

This sort of project might take a bit of time to scope and brief. The kind of project where you’re not quite sure what you need, or in fact, whether it can be accomplished in Excel. It’s the kind of project that might need a couple of phone calls and a few emails with sketches/flowcharts to explain and figure everything out. You might expect an experienced developer to have to spend the better part of a week working on this type of project.

Things that might be typical for this kind of project include: 

- Turnaround within a couple of weeks
- Simple system/process design
- Medium level complexity of bespoke build
- Customization of more complex spreadsheets
- Data-processing / data-management systems
- Complex task automation
- The opportunity to test and request alterations after the first draft

Large, complex projects

£3,000+

This is the kind of project that needs a lot of consultation in order to work out the best approach and/or will be the kind of project

you would expect an experienced developer to spend considerable time working on. If you already know exactly what’s required for this kind of project, then you will likely be an advanced developer yourself, perhaps without the time to spend on the project. 

Things that might be typical for this kind of project include: 

- Skype or face to face consultation
- Detailed project scoping and briefing
- Complex system/process design
- Large or complex bespoke spreadsheet build or customization
- A need for specialized knowledge e.g. management accounting
- KPIs & Dashboards
